St. Lukes is pleased to offer a variety of convenient ways to tithe and provide monetary offerings to the Lord and His church. We have signed up with Vanco Payment Solutions to provide online and mobile options in addition to our traditional options. Whatever method you choose, remember to give with a happy heart. Follow the instructions below to get started. You can also call the office with questions and they can get you to someone who can help.

Methods for Giving

  1. In person: Cash or Check
    • The tried and true method will always be accepted. Simply bring your offerings to church on Sunday and place them in the offering basket.
    • Offering envelopes will only be provided if requested. Please sign up on the list available in the narthex before December 1st to request your envelopes for the next year.
  2. Online: ACH (eChecks), Credit, and Debit Cards
    • This is a simple online / mobile method by which you provide your checking account information or your credit / debit card information and a payment is made to the church.
    • This can be done one­ time or, if you sign up, on a recurring schedule that fits with your financial needs.
    • Visa, Mastercard, and Discover cards can be used.
    • For ACH (eCheck) transactions, St. Lukes pays the low fee so there is no cost to you.
    • For credit / debit cards, St. Lukes will cover the fee (3% of the total amount). However, you can optionally choose to help offset this fee at the time of payment.
      1. Online Offerings
        1. To make a one-time donation online, click the "Online Offerings" button above.
        2. Select the fund that you would like to give to.

        3. Enter the amount you would like to give in whole dollars only.
        4. Click "Add Donation". You can repeat these steps to give to as many of the funds as you would like.
        5. Click the "Next" button at the bottom to enter your payment information.
        6. Select your payment method.
          • For credit or debit cards, enter the card and associated billing information.
          • For checking accounts, enter the routing and account number and use the same billing address that you use for your bank.
          • It is not recommended to use the savings account option at this time.
        7. Click the "Next" button to view a summary.
        8. If you would like an electronic receipt, check the box and enter a valid email address where the receipt can be sent.
        9. For credit / debit cards, you can optionally check the box to add an additional 3% to the total to help offset the processing fees.
        10. Click the "Donate Now" button to submit your donation, then click "Finished" and close the window or tab to exit.
        1. Click the "Online Offerings" button above.
        2. Login to your account by clicking "Sign In / Sign Up" in the upper right corner.
        3. Enter your email address and password and click "Sign In". If you don't have an account click "Create your Give+ Account" and follow the steps.
        4. Once you are logged in, your name should appear in the upper right corner. Use the menu button in the upper left to navigate.
        5. To make a new donation choose "Give Now" from the menu. Select the fund, select the frequency, and enter the amount in whole dollars.

        6. Click "Add Donation" and then click "Next". If you don't have a payment method saved, click "Add New" and enter your information. Otherwise select your payment method and click "Next".
        7. Review the summary and then click "Donate Now" to submit. You will automatically receive a receipt at the email address you signed up with.
        8. To manage your recurring donations choose "Recurring Donations" from the menu. You can stop a recurring donation by clicking the trash can icon next to the donation.
        9. You can delete or edit your payment methods by choosing "Payment Methods" from the menu. Don't change or delete a payment method until you are sure all current transactions have cleared, and you have removed all recurring payments that use that method.
      2. Mobile App
        1. If you are using a mobile device, you have the option to use the Give+ Mobile app (provided by Vanco) to make donations. You can use this app without needing to sign in. View this page on a mobile device, and you can use the links above to download. Otherwise, you can search for "Vanco GivePlus” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
        2. Launch the app and search for "St Lukes Reno" and you should be able to find our church.
        3. Once you find our church, select "Donate Now".
        4. Choose the fund that you would like to donate to, enter an amount in whole dollars, and select "Add" and then "Next".

        5. Enter your payment information and select "Next".
        6. For credit / debit cards, you can optionally check the box to add an additional 3% to the total to help offset the processing fees.
        7. Review your donation information and select "Complete Donation".
        8. If you entered your email address you will receive an email receipt shortly.

        1. If you are using a mobile device, you have the option to use the Give+ Mobile app (provided by Vanco) to make and manage your donations. View this page on a mobile device, and you can use the links above to download. Otherwise, you can search for "Vanco GivePlus” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
        2. Launch the app and search for "St Lukes Reno" and you should be able to find our church. Once our church is selected, use the menu to navigate and either create an account or sign in.
        3. When you are ready to make a donation, select "Give Now" from the menu. Choose the fund that you would like to donate to, select a frequency, and enter an amount in whole dollars. Select "Add" and then "Next".

  3. Your Bank's "Bill pay" Service
    • Some banks allow you to send money to people or pay bills using what is collectively known as a “bill pay” service. These services vary per bank, but most will send a check in the mail to the church address on your behalf. Just make sure the service puts your name on it so that we can properly enter it for our records.
    • Most of these services allow you to do recurring or scheduled payments easily.
    • St. Lukes is not affiliated with these services in anyway. If there is a fee for this service, you will have to discuss that with your bank.
 

Frequently Asked Questions


 Do I have to sign up?

No the sign up is not required. Using either the online form or the mobile app you can make manual donations anytime you wish, without signing up.

If you do sign up by providing your email address and creating a password, you can get access to some convenient features:
  • Save payment info for quick donations later
  • Schedule recurring donations
  • Review history of all donations

 Is this safe and secure?

Making your donation or offering online is as secure as most other online payment activities. St. Lukes has signed up with Vanco Payment Solutions for all online and mobile processing. Vanco meets or exceeds all industry standards to safeguard your data. St. Lukes itself does not store nor hold any of your bank or credit card information. It is transmitted and/or held securely through the Vanco services.

 What if I did not get a receipt?

If you made a one-time donation online or using the mobile app and you did not enter an email address (or you made a mistake typing your email address), you can contact the church office and they can search for your donation and help get you a receipt.

 If I made a mistake, can I get a refund?

In most cases, yes. Contact the office and let them know. Someone should be able to work with you and resolve your issue.

 Mobile - Is the app free to use?

Yes! The Give+ Mobile app (provided by Vanco Payment Solutions) is free to download and you are not charged any additional fees to make donations using the app. You can search for "Vanco GivePlus” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, or use the links above.

 Mobile - Can I use the web also?

Yes. The online giving and mobile app are interchangeable. If you have signed up, make sure you use the same email address and password to login to both. You can choose whichever version you are comfortable with. When using a phone or other mobile device it might be easier to use the app since the online offerings page is not fully optimized for mobile devices.

 Mobile - Will I have to search for St. Lukes each time?

No. After you select a church the first time, the app will automatically save this church. The next time you open the app, the church you last selected will already be displayed. If you need to change the church selected simply click the "Change Church" link at the bottom of the sign in screen or from the sidebar menu.

 Mobile - Did St. Lukes make this app?

No. St. Lukes has only signed up with Vanco Payment Solutions to provide online and mobile giving options to its members and visitors. St. Lukes has no other affiliation with Vanco. If you are having a problem with the app you will have to search the app store for help or contact them.

 Mobile - Can I use this for other churches?

The church in question must be signed up with Vanco Payment Solutions in order to give to that church using the Give+ Mobile app. Use the search function to find the church you would like to give to. If the church uses mobile payments but you cannot find them within the app, it is likely they are using a different provider for this service. Ask around and see if they can help you.

If the church does not do online or mobile payments, and they are interested in doing so, put in a good word for Vanco.
