Welcome

We are so glad you're here! At St. Lukes, we believe baptism is a precious gift where God acts for us — washing away our sins, making us His children, and giving us new life through Jesus Christ. Whether you're considering baptism for yourself or your child, we are honored to walk with you through this beautiful step of faith.

What Is Baptism?
(LCMS Theology)

In baptism, God delivers the gifts He promises in His Word: forgiveness of sins, rescue from death and the devil, and eternal salvation to all who believe (Titus 3:5–7; 1 Peter 3:21).

Baptism is not our commitment to God, but His promise to us. It is not something we do for Him — it is something He does for us, marking us as His own through water and the Word (Ephesians 5:25–27).

We believe, teach, and confess that through Holy Baptism, we are born again by the power of the Holy Spirit and united with Christ in His death and resurrection (Romans 6:3–5).

Who Can Be Baptized?

Because baptism is God's work, His gift is for all people — infants, children, youth, and adults. As Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me" (Matthew 19:14).

We baptize:

  • Infants and Young Children

  • Youth Confirming Their Faith

  • Adults New to the Christian Faith

  • Anyone Desiring God's Promises in Christ

What to Expect

We would love to walk with you through a few simple steps:

  • Meet with our pastor for a conversation about baptism and faith.

  • Schedule a baptism during one of our Sunday worship services.

  • Celebrate with family, sponsors/godparents, and our congregation as we welcome you into God's family.
